SLO MTB
Ride Private Coastal Trails - September 10, 2017

Join fellow MTB riders from across the west for a unique opportunity to ride private coastal land in the breathtaking Wild Cherry Canyon outside of Avila Beach. There are three race distances–50 Mile, 22 Mile & 12 Mile–for the advanced riders to the newbies. The courses are primarily smooth fire roads with some sweet single track connectors. They all include various loops that explore both tree covered canyons and epic view climbs. Wildlife is plentiful and we will share the course with both working cattle and our horse ranch four legged hosts. Come Fall this course will be sunny 75 degrees, sweat worthy, dirty and priceless.

In partnership with the Land Conservancy of SLO County, a FREE Rock Festival in Wild Cherry Canyon will allow you to relax post ride with some BBQ & Brews!

Mountain bikes, gravel grinders, and cyclocross bikes are well welcome to participate in the SLO MTB. The 2017 SLO MTB is permitted by USA Cycling, Category C, and riders in the 50 Mile & 22 Mile timed events must have a one-day USA Cycling license. Permit #2017-1944.

Additional opportunities include a VIP ride with seven-time World Champion and four-time Leadville 100 Champ, Rebecca Rusch.
