Born and educated on the east coast, Matthew Tague was introduced to endurance sports shortly after college and quickly fell down the rabbit hole. After focusing on Iron-distance triathlon for 5 years he shifted his focus to ultra-distance events - running and cycling - earning multiple Race Across the West finishes in addition to other arduous ultra-distance events. The past few years has seen Matthew finish 1st at such events as the Hoodoo 300, RAAM So. Cal 400, Mulholland Double, as well as the Red Rock Trail Marathon.
Matthew has been coaching endurance athletes with varying goals and ability levels for over 10 years. From a first sprint-distance triathlon to multi-day ultra-distance events his knowledge and experience span the breadth of endurance sport. He holds coaching certifications from both USA Triathlon and USA Cycling as well as a Massage Practitioner certification. Matthew is currently completing his ISSA Personal Training certification. With a background in massage therapy, personal training, and endurance athletics, Matthew provides insight into building an optimally balanced training plan that takes into consideration both an athlete’s goals and “real life” demands.
